Subject of professional inspection - revision
1. Distribution board - distribution equipment where all devices
and with
supporting structures form a unit assembled and tested in the production
plant. According to construction, switchgears are divided into:
- otvorené /rámové/
- panel
- wardrobe
- tunnel
- encapsulated
2. Switchboard - a small low-voltage switchboard that is
attached directly to the supporting base /wall surface/ or is recessed into
the wall
3. Electrical distribution core - distribution equipment that
includes construction for storing, tapping and covering vertical wiring. It
may also include necessary apparatus for detection, control, power supply,
etc. Substations and cores are divided into:
- according to the instrumentation to standardised or with optional
filling
- according to the construction into wall mounted /with and without doors/
and recessed /with and without doors/.The inspection of
distribution equipment begins with the connection The inspection of
distribution equipment begins with the connection terminals and ends
with output terminals, e.g. instrument terminals, at to which the output
circuit is connected
Description of revision work
1. Introductory works
Reporting to the operator, handling of entry formalities, locating the person
responsible for the operation of the equipment under review, and discussing the
revision plan. Adding new equipment to the operator's records installations that
are brought into operation and removal of decommissioned installations from the
plan the operator's revision plan. Familiarisation with the operation and safety
measures, documentation and its availability. Checking compliance with the
measures of the measures imposed by the occupational safety and supervisory
authorities. Checking qualifications of the staff responsible for the operation.
Checking the knowledge of users, checking that training and periodic
examinations are carried out on time. Checking the authorisations of the natural
and legal persons carrying out the repairs inspected of distribution equipment.
Checking the first inspection report. environment. The method and possibility of
switching off the electrical equipment or part thereof.
2. Carrying out the revision
A description of the activity is given for each item in this group:
1. External visual inspection
- 1.1 Inspection of the location of the equipment - assessment of the
location, environment and external cleanliness, measures for mounting on
flammable surfaces, handling area, height above the ground, accessibility,
protective enclosure, protective cabinet.
- 1.2 Inspection of the construction of the device - assessment of
construction materials and non-flammability.
- 1.3 Marking check - checking whether the device has a production
label, serial marking, warning and safety tables, marking of the switching
positions of the switches, corresponding colors of light signals and
buttons, whether the circuits are marked permanently, clearly and legibly.
- 1.4 Inspection of the protection of the cover - assessment of the
cover with regard to the environment and against contact with live parts.
- 1.5 Inspection of protection against mechanical damage - assessment
of covers, their fastening, mechanical strength and integrity.
- 1.6 Inspection of protection against corrosion - determination of the
extent of corrosion and the condition of protective coatings.
2. Internal visual inspection
- 2.1 Connection inspection - check for compliance with safety and
economy,
sizing
and
fusing requirements, indicative marking.
- 2.2 Arrangement Inspection - check that instruments are in correct
operating
position
and properly secured, accessibility of equipment.
- 2.3 Marking Inspection - the marking of input terminals on the main
switch,
devices
connected upstream of the main switch, protective terminals, bare and
insulated
conductors /including their colour marking/ is assessed. Checking the
marking of
apparatus according to the documentation, circuits /circuit targets/,
associated
circuits, protective conductors on the protective busbar with their
connection
to the outermost conductors, control and protection apparatus, terminals and
terminal blocks.
- 2.4 Inspection of fusing - the value of fusing elements and contact
defining
rings, current values in individual phases of the same circuit, mechanical
damage of fusing elements, selectivity of fusing, heating of conductors and
connections are checked.
- 2.5 Inspection of protection against contact - the construction of
the
external
protective terminal is assessed. Checking that the control parts for manual
operation are made of insulator, checking the protection by covering,
connection
to the protection circuit, the method of connecting the conductors to the
terminals, the cross-section of the protective conductor and the
disconnectibility of PE-N for SNV.
- 2.6 Corrosion protection check - the condition of the protective
coating and
the
extent of corrosion are checked.
- 2.7 Serviceability check - the maintenance of characteristics and
functions
in
operation, the functionality of safety tripping, signal conditioning,
compensating equipment, the condition of fusing /switching and control/
devices
are assessed.
3. Conclusion of the professional inspection - revision
- 1. Discussions with the operator or owner
Discussion of the procedure for rectifying deficiencies on site,
determination
of conditions for continued safe and economic operation.
- 2. Records
Making a record of the condition found during the inspection. Record of the
determination of the progress of the work to remedy the defects found,
specifying the conditions necessary for further safe and economical
operation.
Recording of the dates of further necessary inspections and the deadlines
set
for the elimination of the deficiencies found.
- 3. Submission of the inspection record
The periodic inspection report of the distribution installation shall be
handed
over, in at least three equivalent copies, to the person responsible for the
operation, subject to written acknowledgement of receipt of this document.
