Subject of professional inspection - revision
1. Substation, electrical plant - premises and places used for
the operation of electrical equipment. They are locked and may be opened
only by persons authorised to do so. They are used for:
- the distribution, protection, measurement and control of electrical
energy
- shifting, switching, switching of electrical circuits
Electrical installations are classified according to their
purpose, method of operation and operation, construction and method of
installation, arrangement of branch circuits and method of attachment of
equipment. Substations are distinguished by the number of switches. One
equipment unit consists of five LV arrays.
Description of revision work
1. Introductory works
Report to the operator, completion of entry formalities, search for the employee

revision plan. Supplementing the operator's records with new equipment that is
included in the operation and removing decommissioned equipment from the
operator's revision plan. Familiarization with operation and safety measures,
with documentation and its availability. Control of compliance with measures
imposed by occupational safety authorities and supervisory authorities. Checking
the qualifications of the workers responsible for operation. Checking users'
knowledge, checking compliance with training dates and regular testing. Control
of the authorizations of natural and legal persons carrying out repairs of the
controlled substation. Review of the first audit report. protocol on determining
the environment. The method and possibility of switching off the electrical
equipment or its part.
2. Carrying out the revision
A description of the activity is given for each item in this
group:
1. External visual inspection
- 1.1 Inspection of the construction design - assessment of entrances
to
station
switchgear areas, corridors and stairways, ducts, gangways and ancillary
equipment and the condition of the switchgear areas.
- 1.2 Inspection of external and environmental influences - assess
security
against ingress of dirt, existence of pipes threatening the substation from
the
point of view of safety of operation, heating, ventilation and lighting.
- 1.3 Marking inspection - assess the provision of warning and safety
signs,
marking of
entrances and exits, emergency exits, provision of operating and handling
rules,
electrical diagrams.
- 1.4 Inspection of wiring and equipment - inspecting the condition of
cable
ducts,
location of capacitors, receptacles, sockets and lighting for installation
purposes, mandatory equipment.
- 1.5 Fire safety inspection - storage of items, oil tanks, location
and
number of
fire
extinguishers and apparatus are inspected.
- 1.6 Inspection of protective equipment - equipment, location and
condition
of
protective work equipment is assessed.
3. Conclusion of the professional inspection - revision
- 1. Discussions with the operator or owner
Discussion of on-site rectification procedure, determination of conditions
for further safe and economical operation
- 2. Records
Making a record of the condition of the substation as found during the
inspection. Record of the determination of the progress of the work to
eliminate the defects found, with the determination of the conditions
necessary for further safe and economic operation. Recording of the dates of
further necessary inspections and the deadlines set for the elimination of
the deficiencies found.
- 3. Submission of the inspection record
The report on the periodic inspection of the substation shall be handed
over, in at least three equivalent copies, to the person responsible for the
operation, subject to written acknowledgement of receipt of this document.
